Matt Polk

Matt Polk is the founder and president of Polk & Co, a publicity firm specializing in public relations and media strategies, representing a variety of commercial, nonprofit and institutional clients in theater, film, television and dance. Broadway press campaigns include the Tony Award-winning productions of The Boys in the Band, The Band’s Visit, Come From Away, The Color Purple, Once, Anything Goes, Assassins, Nine and The Pajama Game. In addition to Wicked, recent projects include All My Sons, Beetlejuice, Burn This, Kiss Me, Kate, Merrily We Roll Along, Network, Sing Street, TINA - The Tina Turner Musical, and The Prom.

 

Matt also manages celebrity publicity campaigns, including John Stamos; philanthropic cause-related campaigns, including the Pink Well Challenge; and has coordinated outreach campaigns for television networks and film production companies including: The CW (“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”), Disney (Into The Woods), FOX (“RENT,” “Grease Live!,” “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” “A Christmas Story”), Paramount (Florence Foster Jenkins), Roadside Attractions (Manchester By The Sea, Indignation, Genius), 20th Century Fox (The Greatest Showman) and Lionsgate (La La Land).

 

Institutional clients include: Over 15 years with New York’s largest not-for-profit theatrical institution - Roundabout Theatre Company, Second Stage Theatre, Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures, Bedlam, A.R.T./New York, Birdland Jazz Club, TED Talks: Live in New York, the Tony Award-winning Cleveland Playhouse (centennial season), Covenant House, and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. He also served as a national consultant to Arena Stage in Washington, D.C. during their inaugural year at the Mead Center for American Theatre.

 

Matt began his publicity career in 1998 focusing on not-for-profit and commercial projects including Disney’s Tony Award-winning production of The Lion King, Disney Theatrical Productions and DreamWorks. 

Nicolette Carcaldi

Nicolette joined Polk & Co. as the Public Relations Intern in September 2021 and transitioned into an Account Coordinator in January 2022. She previously founded and led her own theatre organization in Orlando, Florida and started her PR career as a communications intern with Orlando City Soccer. She currently represents Merrily We Roll Along, Back to the Future, and An Enemy of the People. Former clients include Funny Girl, New York New YorkOhio State Murders, Pictures From Home, Beetlejuice, American Buffalo, Sing Street, and Netflix's 13: The Musical and Matilda. Nicolette is a graduate of the University of Central Florida.  

Nina Chae-Gordon

Nina Chae-Gordon joined Polk & Co. as the Public Relations Intern in January 2022 and became an Account Coordinator in February 2022. Nina is a graduate of NYU’s Stern School of Business where she received a Bachelor of Science in Business and minored in Music and Producing. While at NYU, Nina served as the General Manager of Tisch New Theatre and Production Technician for events at NYU’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. She also spent time as a Marketing and PR Intern for Settlement Music School in Philadelphia. Nina currently represents Spamalot, Some Like It Hot, Water for Elephants, and Broadway Advocacy Coalition. Former clients include The Shark is BrokenLife of Pi, Come From Away, A Strange Loop, and for colored girls...

Lilly Claar

Lilly joined Polk & Co. as an Account Manager in August 2021. She previously worked at Focus Features organizing national publicity campaigns for over 25 feature films. She currently represents Some Like It Hot, Purlie Victorious: A Non-Confederate Romp Through The Cotton Patch, Water For Elephants, and BEDLAM. Past shows include The Shark is Broken, Life of Pi, Pictures From Home, A Strange Loop, for colored girls…, and Macbeth. Lilly is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Annenberg School of Communication and the NBCUniversal Page Program.

Eileen Conneely

Eileen has served as Operations Manager for Polk & Co since March 2023. Previously, she was the Director of Community and Events at The Executive Council, a community of established and rising corporate executives, startup founders, investors and government leaders.  

Tom D'Ambrosio

Tom has been a theatre publicist for over 20 years, representing productions both on and off-Broadway.  He currently represents Kimberly Akimbo, Wicked and Second Stage Theater. Past productions include Topdog/Underdog, Mr. Saturday Night, The Inheritance, Tootsie, The Boys in the Band, War Paint, The Color Purple, Sister Act, If/Then, Rocky, Next to Normal, The Lifespan of a Fact, Come Fly Away, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, The Pee-Wee Herman Show, Metamorphoses, Hedwig and the Angry Inch and The Little Dog Laughed, among many others.  A graduate of Syracuse University, he previously worked at The Hartman Group, Barlow/Hartman, Richard Kornberg & Associates, James LL Morrison & Associates, Bill Evans, and Jeffrey Richards & Associates.

Chaliece Dillon

Chaliece joined Polk & Co. as an Account Coordinator in August 2021. She started her publicity work as an intern at Big Picture Media. Chaliece is a graduate of Drexel University in Philadelphia where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Industry. She currently represents Roundabout Theatre Company, Purlie Victorious, and the Shubert Organization. Former clients include Grey House and Fat Ham. 

Lauren Duffy

Lauren began her publicity career as an intern with Polk and Co. in 2018. She currently represents Kimberly Akimbo, Spamalot, Second Stage Theater, and Wicked. Her past clients include Topdog/UnderdogBeetlejuice, Mr. Saturday Night, Burn This, The Great Society, Network and The Prom. Lauren is a proud graduate of Long Island University where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Public Relations.

Elizabeth Erb

Elizabeth joined Polk & Co. as a Public Relations Intern in 2024. Before transitioning to theater publicity, she worked as an actor at Shakespeare Theatre Company, Chautauqua Theater Company, and Santa Cruz Shakespeare, among others. Most recently she served as a production intern for Kansas City's NPR station's daily talk show. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater BFA Actor Training Program and Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism.

Jeffrey Fauver

Jeffrey has been a theater publicist for more than decade and currently represents the Tony Award-winning Roundabout Theatre Company, Grey House, Universal Theatrical Group and The Shubert Organization. Previous Broadway clients include: Fat Ham,The Minutes, the 2018 Tony Award-winning Best Musical The Band’s Visit; Terrence McNally’s Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune starring Audra McDonald & Michael Shannon; Robert Schenkkan’s The Great Society starring Brian Cox; Amelie, A New Musical starring Phillipa Soo; Fully Committed starring Jesse Tyler Ferguson; as well as Tony Award winner Derek McLane, the films Judy and Speech & Debate, TED Talks Live, Situation Interactive and BY Experience.  He began his career in Chicago, where he represented Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Goodman Theatre and Chicago Shakespeare Theater, including publicity campaigns for such projects as the Tony Award-winning revival of Edward Albee’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? starring Tracy Letts and Amy Morton; the Tony Award-nominated Desire Under the Elms starring Brian Dennehy and Carla Gugino; the world premiere of Tony Award winner David Henry Hwang’s Chinglish; the world premiere of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Ruined by Lynn Nottage; and the world premiere of The Long Red Road, directed by Phillip Seymour Hoffman, starring Tom Hardy. Jeffrey is a graduate of Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Jessica Johnson

Jessica is a founding member of Polk & Co., working alongside Matt Polk as a press agent for Roundabout Theatre Company since 2003.  She has managed and contributed to over 200 publicity & marketing campaigns for Broadway musicals, plays, special projects and film. Recent highlights include the Tony award-winning revival of A Soldier’s PlayThe Sound Inside starring Tony winner Mary-Louise Parker; Kerry Washington’s return to Broadway in American Son; the Tony-nominated revival of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons starring Annette Bening and Tracy Letts; the international launch of Ahrens & Flaherty’s Anastasia the Musical; and television & film projects such as Netflix’s “The Prom” and In the Heights.  Previously at Boneau/Bryan-Brown for 10 years, she also managed the U.S. publicity campaigns for National Theatre Live (2009-2013); the Broadway production of One Man, Two Guvnors including James Corden's Tony award-winning campaign; and the Royal Shakespeare Company’s NY residency. Jessica is a member of the Association of Theatrical Press Agents and Managers. She has been invited to guest lecture at Yale University, NYU & Brooklyn College, and has a B.S. in Marketing Communications from Emerson College.​

Alana Karpoff

Alana currently represents Roundabout Theatre Company and Purlie Victorious. Former Polk & Co clients include Grey House, Fat Ham, American Buffalo, Ohio State Murders, and Pictures From Home. She previously worked at DKC/O&M where clients included: Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma!; Angels in America; Kinky Boots; School of Rock and Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish. Colgan McNeil

Colgan has been working as a theatrical press agent for over 10 years, managing and contributing to publicity campaigns for Broadway and Off-Broadway productions, TV and film projects and institutions. He currently represents Back To The Future, Merrily We Roll Along, Black Theatre United, Riverdance and Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures. Recent highlights include the Broadway revival of Funny Girl starring Lea Michele, New York, New York, Come From Away, TINA - The Tina Turner Musical, The Prom (Broadway and Netflix), Burn This starring Adam Driver & Keri Russell, Network starring Bryan Cranston, Misery starring Bruce Willis & Laurie Metcalf, the film adaptation of In The Heights and The CW’s “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” among many others. He previously worked at Disney Theatrical Group and The Hartman Group and is a proud graduate of Hofstra University.

Alex Seeley

Alex started his career in Chicago, working for Cathy Taylor Public Relations. He moved to New York and was an assistant publicist for Richard Kornberg and Billy Zavelson at Richard Kornberg & Associates, before joining the Polk & Co team in November 2018. He currently represents Back To The Future, Merrily We Roll Along, and Riverdance. Past clients include Funny Girl, New York, New York, Hangmen, The Inheritance, Tootsie, Pretty Woman: The Musical, Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, American Son and The Lifespan of a Fact. Alex is a graduate of DePaul University in Chicago.

Jason Snow

Jason serves as business manager, overseeing all business and operational elements of Polk & Co. Prior to this role, Jason was associate choreographer for the world premiere of Waitress (American Repertory Theater/A.R.T); resident director/associate choreographer for Broadway’s Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark; associate director for the world premiere of The Master Builders Singing Club (Guthrie Theater); and associate choreographer for Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame (La Jolla Playhouse/Paper Mill Playhouse). Other Broadway and national tour performance credits include The Little Mermaid, Hairspray, Mamma Mia!, The Music Man and Footloose. Teaching credits include the Broadway Classroom, American Theatre Dance Workshop, The Broadway Artists Alliance and Point Park University, among others.

Kelly Stotmeister

Kelly began her theatrical career over a decade ago, representing Broadway and touring theatrical productions. She currently represents the Broadway production of Spamalot, Some Like It HotRiverdance – 25th Anniversary Tour, Broadway Advocacy Coalition and The Shubert Organization.

Kathryn Weakland

 

Kathryn was delighted to recently join Polk & Co. as and Account Coordinator. Prior to becoming interested in theatrical publicity she spent a year and a half at Manhattan Theater Club in their general management department. She also had a brief stint at Actors Express Theatre Company in her hometown of Atlanta doing set design. Kathryn has a B.A. in Theater from The New School.

Wayne Wolfe

Wayne began his career in 1990 working for Shirley Herz, and over the past 32 years has worked for Boneau/Bryan-Brown, Mary Bryant, Livent, Barlow/Hartman and The Hartman Group representing 60 Broadway productions and over 100 Off-Broadway productions. Wayne represented the original Broadway productions of Kiss of the Spider Woman, Barrymore, Ragtime, Fosse, The Full Monty, King Hedley II, Sweet Smell of Success, Hollywood Arms, Dance of the Vampires, The Retreat From Moscow, Anna in the Tropics, Lestat, In The Heights, 9 To 5, A Steady Rain, Donny & Marie – A Broadway Christmas, Ann, First Date, Big Fish, Misery, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Pretty Woman, The Bands Visit, Come From Away, Beetlejuice, Hangmen and A Strange Loop. He has represented the Broadway revivals of A Chorus Line; West Side Story; How To Succeed…; Promises, Promises; Fiddler on the Roof; Show Boat; Noises Off; Medea, Macbeth, Hughie and Of Mice and Men.  Wolfe is a graduate of Hofstra University and a member of ATPAM.
